Despite the Napster farrago and the MP3.com
lawsuit(s), 2000 has been a pretty good year for MP3s and online
music in general. There are enough portable players out there
to suit all tastes and budgets (how many Nike psa[play devices
will we see on the street in the new year?) and the quality of
free music available from signed and unsigned talent keeps getting
better and better. We've compiled six of the best tracks from
the last few months below. If you don't own them already, download
them all for free now (what's stopping you?) We've got some big
